How To Keep Going

One of the most common questions I’m asked is: “How do you keep going when it feels like nothing’s working?”

It’s such an honest question, and one that many of us wrestle with quietly. When the results we want don’t show up right away, the unconscious mind often tempts us to pull back, change direction, or hide under the duvet with a glass of wine.

But after years of supporting individuals and business owners in wellbeing, I’ve seen something remarkable: the turning point usually happens just after the moment you were ready to quit.

So here’s a gentle five step reminder to help you stay aligned, motivated, and moving - even when that inner imposter starts to whisper doubts.

1️⃣ Reconnect with your “why.”

Remind yourself why this goal matters. What will it mean for you - and for the people you serve - when you achieve it. That clarity reignites purpose and helps you push through resistance.

2️⃣ Release your grip on the outcome.

It sounds counterintuitive, but when we cling too tightly to a single outcome, we close ourselves off from unexpected opportunities. Loosen the reins a little; trust that the right doors will open in their own time.

3️⃣ Find joy in the process.

Rather than chasing the result, focus on the daily actions that move you closer. Tick off and date the successful steps you have taken in leaning into your goal. Celebrate your consistency. Honour your effort. The process is the progress.

4️⃣ Believe in your own brilliance.

You are skilled, intuitive, and capable. Back yourself fully. You’ve overcome so much already - this next step is just another evolution of your strength.

5️⃣ Keep going.

Consistency is key. Momentum builds quietly until one day, it becomes visible success. One of my clients nearly gave up after months of trying - but within weeks of staying the course, her business jumped from zero to multiple holistic offerings and a training school!
